Cake Smash Photoshoots

With the opening of the new photography studio in Vernon in March, I can now offer a large bright clean space to host cake smash photos! Whether it's for a first or a 40th birthday, I am here for it.

A first birthday is an awesome opportunity for a cake smash. These images below are from a client's photoshoot in their home in 2020.

I have been doing cake smash photoshoots for my daughter every year (except 2 whoopsie) and she looks forward to them every year. Last year her theme was Party Girl and this year it will be Leprechauns! As you can probably tell, the theme is always her final choice.

Because I have been doing these sessions with her for a decade, when my son was born three years ago, we took a different route.

Starting with his milestone markers.

They don't have to be cake! They can be any type of food you want. Like donuts!

And they can be for ANY milestone!

As you can see, you don't have to be limited to doing your session inside if it's during our nice Okanagan seasons, outside is also a perfect option.

Because everyone's cake smash vision is individual, I ask that the client plan and bring their props, outfits and food choice, and I will bring the clean, bright facility, the clean up afterwards, and my photography skills! I also have some options of backdrops, cake stands and props, that I will have updated information online for soon but feel free to ask about anything specific. I am sure I will also accumulate more prop options now that I have the amazing space for it!

A cake smash session can be done in my half hour package. the smash portion only takes 10-15 minutes, so for the first 15 minutes, we do family photos or portraits of the birthday person, with their set, before we have fun getting messy. Please contact us if you have any questions.
