My 2022 Wedding Clients Were Magical! đ
Every year I love making highlights on my website of the amazing five star reviews that my wedding couples leave me. The amount and quality of reviews I have accumulated over the years, is a huge accomplishment of mine, and I LOVE to feature the words of my clients as much as possible. It's so much easier to hear words from my clients about what it's like to work with me, than it is for me to explain it to you. Always better straight from the horse's mouth.
Kayleigh and Josh left me a beautiful review that said, "Selina photographed our wedding and I cannot say enough good things about our experience. My husband and I were quite nervous before hand as neither of us are very comfortable in front of a camera, but Selina made us look so good! She was our biggest hype woman, giving us all the confidence. Selina was very friendly and perfectly matched the energy and loud personalities within our wedding party. Selina went above and beyond expected with the amount of images she captured, even taking pictures of other couples during the reception. She knows what she is doing and it was a huge stress reliever having a photographer willing to jump in head first and take pictures of every moment and detail throughout the day with minimal direction. All of our pictures came out looking so good, better than I could have imagined!
If you are looking for a photographer for any event, Selina is a must! I am looking forward to booking more sessions with her in the future!
Thank you Selina for capturing our special day so well, we are in love with our wedding pictures I cannot thank you enough!!"

These two got married at a STUNNING AirBnB property on Schaad Road in Lake Country that I was unable to find the listing for (sorry you guys, I tried haha) but I hope to shoot there again one day!
Another place I hope to visit again is Hedley, B.C., where I shot Brittney & Jerry's STUNNING wedding (photo above). Their review said, "Selina is absolutely amazing! For our first family pictures together they went off without a hitch! I have social anxiety and my eldest son is on the Spectrum and both of us were completely at ease. My son can't stop talking about how much fun it was and he can't wait to do it again. She captured all of us perfectly and made us all feel super comfortable. She was outstanding with our 3 boys who barely stood still and still managed to capture amazing photos of us! We can't wait to have her shoot our Wedding in June! We definitely recommend her and will be returning to her for all future photos!
Thank You So Much Selina! You're a Rockstar!"
I just posted their wedding blog and it was great to remines back to this little staycation. I never had the opportunity to stay in Hedley before, I had only ever stopped in to the sleepy little town, but I had an awesome AirBnB experience, and then marked "Alpine wedding photos" off my photography to do list, with these two! It was the perfect wedding day.
Thanks to Christina & Tyler's wedding, I now would love to have cows in the background of every wedding ceremony.
These are the D Dutchmen Dairy cows in Sicamous, B.C. If you've ever driven through Sicamous in the summer time, you very well may have tried some of these ladies' ice cream or fresh milk products.
And if you haven't, you're not living until you have.
D Dutchmen Dairy is a must stop on your way through, even better if you have your kids because there is plenty for them to see and do on this quick stop. But be warned, it's not a very hidden secret so sometimes you're parking a couple blocks away, but I promise it's worth it!
Christina said, "Selina just did our wedding and there's no one I'd recommend more!! She made it a really enjoyable experience and everyone loved how energetic and friendly she was. I found she made me feel at ease when I was feeling stressed. Her upbeat energy was contagious. Thank you so much, Selina !!! âïžâïžâïžâïžâïž!"
And Tyler said, "Selina did our wedding photos and was absolutely amazing. She has got the most unparalleled eye for the perfect backgrounds and settings for your photos. Her eye for perfection regarding clients positioning, stance, and appearance is amazing. Highly recommended and will be using her again for other sessions!"
I was over the moon when I saw they BOTH left me a five star review! Those kinds of clients are my MVP's.
I think Chris & Karsten's wedding took the cake for the most majestic ceremony backdrop of 2022.
These two got married at Aspengove Country Resort in Vernon, B.C., and I was taken aback when I reached the ceremony site and saw that this was their background! The sky had the right amount of emotion to take away the heat from the blazing Okanagan sun, and to add a little definition and depth to the mountain landscapes. A stunning wedding location for anyone considering a wedding venue.
I've had the pleasure of knowing Chris for many years on facebook and finally being able to photograph their blended family was an honour. They have a ton of busy kids, each with their own amazing personality, and getting to spend a part of the most important day in the lives of their entire family, was magical.
They said, ""Selina is super comfortable to work with and has amazing attention to detail. She made everything so fun and relaxed, we couldnât be happier to have had her capture our wedding and will use her again for preserving our families special moments."
Kaprie & Bryce were another couple that had an outstanding Okanagan Valley backdrop for their wedding ceremony. They were close to Chris & Karsten's wedding, above Lumby at Timber Ridge Trails. This venue was unique because they had about 50 trailers and trucks from the guests staying on the property not far from everything. So handy for weddings!
I fell in love with these two at their engagement session only months earlier, and that one extra day of shooting together made it even easier for them to be themselves in front of my camera on their wedding day, resulting in STUNNING portraits like this one. Kaprie & Bryce said, "If youâre ever unsure of a photographer.. honestly look no further. Selina is hands down amazing. I literally started to cry in a photo shoot with her just watching how she was working with my best friend. Making her feel so beautiful and easing her nerves/awkwardness haha. Even though she was a complete stranger in the beginning you can absolutely feel the love through the whole experience. Selina is fantastic and I would 100% recommend her!" I look forward to shooting all the rest of their seasons of life together. What an honour!
If you're not getting married in the mountains in the Okanagan, you'll probably be getting married near the water, and it is ALWAYS a pleasure to shoot couples who choose Lake Okanagan Resort as their wedding venue. They have one of the best beach ceremony location spots in the Okanagan, and these two had the perfect weather for it.
The Resort also has a tiki bar on the beach, a sprawling golf green, accommodations for wedding guests, and a reception venue.
It also comes with Okanagan wildlife.
Lehoya & Dillon said, "Selina was amazing on our wedding day! She has tons of experience and helped us with the big to small details that we (as first time bride and groom) overlooked or didn't think of! Selina is (in my opinion) absolutely genius in taking candid photos of a wide variety of people with different personalities and making the environment work for her! She also went out of her way to help answer questions not related to photography as well. I had a great time with Selina."
I ended off my wedding season in New Brunswick, photographing my 202nd wedding, Brittany & Ryan!
I highly recommend checking out their wedding highlight page because this was the most regal wedding I have ever photographed and those photos deserve to be seen!
Brittany and I became friends over her wedding planning process, and getting to meet them was a highlight of my year. I was on the East coast shooting my Canada Wide Wedding Giveaway winner, Lyndsey, and the very next day I photographed this gorgeous wedding at Whispering Willow in Scoudouc, N.B.
They left me the best review ever. They said, "Where to begin. I could write a book on why I recommend Selina. Her personality is amazing. Her attention to detail is phenomenal. She is so excited to be there with you! She MADE my wedding day. All my guests were like, holy crap your photographer was amazing! So on the ball! Took charge and made everything happen. She went the extra mile, including laying on the wet ground to get amazing fireworks shots... She is very responsive, professional, her pricing is great and well worth it. You will LOVE your photos. Im so so glad I went with Selina, she captured our day perfectly and me and my husband both are not usually fond of our photos and we LOVED them. Seriously, what are you waiting for? BOOK SELINA. She made us all LAUGH. She didnt miss a thing...and she genuinely ENJOYED herself at our wedding...she felt like one of the family. I will always remember her energy, positivity, and the care she put into making this moment last forever. Besides...the photos speak for themselves.... 100/10."
Way to make me cry, Brittany!
I have become so close with so many of my clients after being such a huge part of their wedding day, and I hope that continues. 2023 is already shaping up to be an unforgettable wedding season.
Thank you to every client who has ever left me a review. Reviews mean EVERYTHING to small business owners, me included!
